D3 Ineligible Sign Topic

Does anyone know if a player being ineligible impacts their signing preference/when they'll sign with you? I'm at DIII and have an ineligible player who is at 'Very High' and no other school is above moderate AND he's an Early sign, but he did not sign with me right away as the first signing period opened. Do signing preferences void if a player is ineligible? Even at DIII where he'd be eligible to play right away anyway?

Ineligibles don't have a different tendency than other recruits. The signing tendencies have been a bit inconsistent. I've had early guys wait till the end of the 2nd day and end of 1st period guys sign 11 pm the first day. It does appear that multiple battles of 3 teams or more get dragged out a little longer. Note: if you weren't aware, ineligibles can play as freshmen at D3

It depends on which pool the player is from.

from D3 if it's a D3 pool player, early means basically that he will sign anytime before RS1 ends.

From D3 if it's a D2 pool player, he will sign 100% of the time when RS2 begins on the first processed cycle (but he will never sign in RS1)

From D3 if it's a D1 pool player, he will sign 100% of the time at 11pm est on day 2 of 3, in RS2 (but he will never sign in RS1)

Based off your description, since you stated that you're showing as Very High, that means it must be a D3 pool player. So option 1 I gave is the outcome. He will sign anytime in RS1. But not any specific cycle necessarily. The fact that he's ineligible has no bearing on this.
