Best use for low Durability SP Topic

Continually annoyed by the number of decent SP that show up in draft pools with reasonable Stamina (60+) but problematic Durability (<20, if not <15).

If you've got an SP with 70-80 Stamina -- but only 15 or lower Durability -- what's the best use for this guy? Assume he has ML quality ratings otherwise and that I want to get as many IP as possible out of a high draft pick.

Agreed, they're annoying. However, the reason I'm even noticing those pitchers is usually because they've got useful-looking vsL/vsR. 15/80 I can use them as starters in the minors, but lower than that and I convert them to RPs. I have one with a DUR of 4 and I set him to only pitch if he's over 99% because if he throws three games in a row (with a pitch count of 15), he takes four to recover.

I just lower the pitch count and use them as a sp or a tandem. I almost always only run a 4 man rotation

I use this formula for target PC for starters: TPC = (DUR/20) * ST. I use it religiously in the minors and for DUR < 26 in the majors. For high DUR pitchers in the majors it depends on how good they are, how badly I need the innings from them, etc.

I won't start a pitcher with TPC < 65; it's just too big a pain to manage the bullpen. So I use the good ones who don't have the DUR/ST to get to a TPC of 65 as SuA with PC 25/35 or so; I get 120 IP or so, mostly in the 7th-8th innings of close games, out of the really good ones.

For the ones with TPC in the 60s it depends on whether my staff needs a starter or reliever more.

I flat up use stamina as a starting point I very rarely go beyond that unless the durability is 30 + then only by 5-15 pitches. If the guy has a 20 durability thenId go less. I also use 4 man rotations. Works great for me. I believe in in game fatigue and my pitchers all produce very well in hitters parks.
