Yes, there is a higher baseline prestige in power 6 (big5 + big east is the one I assume you are forgetting).

WIth the same results (record/RPI/NT finish) your prestige will be higher.

And the Big-6 teams' huge advantage shows itself during recruiting.

Yes, in the other thread it shows the baseline prestige of all schools.

Midmajor teams vary typically between B and C. Low majors are all at D, like the Ivy League (which in HD includes Fordham), the Patriot, MEAC, Northeast, and many others.

The teams in mid-major conferences have some variations in prestige. For example, in the A-10, St Joe's, Temple, and a couple of others ate a notch higher than the rest. In the WCC, Gonzaga is a B or B+ while Lipscomb and Grambling are at C or lower. C-USA has Memphis higher than their other 11 conference-mates too.

Within Big Six leagues, Duke and UNC are at A+, while Va Tech is B-minus or whatever.

If you get in a full conference, like the MEAC in Tarkanian, you can be on somewhat equal footing with big 6 schools, except the Baseline Prestige does make it more Challenging. We sent 5 teams to the NT and 4 more to the PI this year. We have one open team at this point.

Interestingly, my Delaware State team is facing BYU, a mid major for the title tonight.

Trying to build the conference has been one of the more fun things I have worked on in HD. We have a great group of coaches, so it is a team effort, and all of the schools are getting better and better. It was the #4 conference in terms of RPI, so ahead of 3 of the Big 6 and all of the mid majors.
