The value of a rebound Topic

Hey gil- I would like to join everyone else in thanking you for this evaluation technique...I do have one quick question, though: Above, you mention that "11.1% gap is a large, healthy gap that a team with a big advantage would generally be happy with." That makes sense to me, but I'm curious about where the danger zone starts. Is it simply when you get a lower percentage than your opponent, or do you start to worry if you only out rebound them by, say 5%?

2/3s is kind of the real life breakpoint. That is about the % of defensive rebounds teams get on average (although I guess this is shifting as some of the better NBA teams abandon crashing the offensive boards to get back on defense).

The two stats tend to mirror each other so comparing them isn't always that important due to the high correlation.
