No film can win an award at the Oscars that does not meet a new diversity quota they've established. How awful this is for true art! The quality of the movie should be the ONLY thing that matters for their purposes. As an artist, it is in my best interest to pushback against
the leftist agenda to destroy real art. Period.

Keep in mind that the quota does not apply specifically to the cast. I think it's a reasonable topic to discuss with that in mind.

From what I understand, you can have an all-white cast or whatever and still meet the requirements if you have diversity elsewhere.

Lots of factors go into casting. Some logical and understandable. Some exploitative. BUT, appearance is certainly ONE of the factors that should be able to be used and skin color/tone is just a small part of that. My own appearance would prevent ME from being cast in 1000's of roles. To be honest in BOTH directions from my perceived color. I ain't white enough for some roles, I ain't dark enough for others. I'm too old for most nowadays, and too fat for porn.

Ain't got enough teeth for toothpaste commercials, and NOBODY wants me modeling swimwear. It is what it is.
Folks need to take Glen Frey's advise and GET OVER IT!

Color is just a thing and it's ONLY on the outside that you can see the difference.

This kind of reminds me of a Miss America pageant I watched a few years back. The finalists all have to make this speech.. and EVERY one (one exception) made a totally perfectly politically correct dialogue that the far left would just drool over. The one exception was a gal who said that she puts God first, in her life and imo her 'speech' was the best. She was ridiculed on U Tube, though

Bottom line, I forget who won. That;s how important those things are.

Suddenly I can believe the stories about Hollywood's top dogs having to take a satanic oath.. I think Rock singers are named there too, but.. no real proof.. I guess. Bottom line: Who cares? Over half, in fact maybe 80% of these 'heros' end up married 4 times before age 45 and end up in drug and alcohol rehab centers.. and the public exalts them ?
