Auto Adjust Tempo Topic

If Scarolina would have had auto-adjust tempo on "always" would they have won this game?

Would the sim have knocked them down to normal or slowdown? Fatigue definitely hurt them in the second half but idk if a drop to normal tempo would have saved them - a lot of players were already in foul trouble (they had 22 first half fouls!). Slowdown I'd think would definitely increase their chances of holding onto that lead.

I doubt it personally. I think the swings are built into HD. And that's not a circumstance where auto adjust tempo is useful at its peak.

I use auto adjust a lot. But I feel it's more usefully designed for if running slow and behind, than it is for if you're ahead and want to coast. I have no data. It's just my opinion of comfort within how I've felt it works best.

I love the topic tho. Lots of good things to discuss here

maybe - it couldn't have hurt - not sure enough to swing that 7 point loss, but definitely feels like it would have helped.

'the swings are built into hd' - sort of. feedback exists - but it acts 'in real time' - meaning on each decision, it can be a factor. there is no game-level swing or whatever. this necessarily means that when feedback is pushing against you - the fewer possessions / actions for it to act on - the less it acts. in general (and in 95% or more of cases), if you have a decent lead in the 2nd half and feedback is pushing against you pretty hard, you want to be on slowdown. not saying we can just wave a wand and make that happen - but if we could - we'd definitely want to.
