i realize playing away games is generally helpful to RPI

but...
if you are undefeated, does it matter whether you were home or away?

in the calculation for RPI, part one, 25% of the formula, is the teams winning percentage. and you do get a bonus for winning on the road there and losing on the road doesnt hurt as much. but can that part of the forumla be greater than 100%?

Nope. If you're undefeated, the location of your games are irrelevant. But the PR cares.

Interesting. Are you talking about sheer number road victories in general or more specific i.e. a top 25 win on the road counting for more than a top 25 win at home?

cub is right, if you are undefeated (or have lost them all, gulp), the home/away component has no impact on RPI. it doesn't matter if you have 20 wins at home, for 12 adjusted wins, or 20 road wins or 28 adjusted wins, if you have 0 losses to go with it - its still a 100% win rate. the road wins just cushion the blow for when you do end up losing.
