We are a 16 team progressive which has been going strong since 1885 and are on the verge of a new era! Up until now we have operated as two distinct 8 team leagues, and two distinct drafts: one for the AL and one for the NL. The league is pretty much a standard progressive, the draft is based on a reverse order of standings as of game 120 (wins floor set at 35 @ 120), unlimited keepers and IR, no salary cap.
Once we get to 1901, however, things will change and we will run a single draft. There will continue to be duplicate players (clones) in both leagues, however that applies only for the duplicate players drafted and protected prior to the 1901 season. In effect, they will benefit from a “grandfather” provision. Players drafted in 1901 and beyond will only be held by one team.
