This is a 24-team, 6-division progressive league (with 2 wild cards) now entering 1977, its 31st season. In addition to having 25 active players (+ IR), each team will also have 6/4 below-average AAA. DH at AL parks, pitcher bats at NL parks (except in 2020, when there will be a universal DH).

As this was a 20-team league from 1969 to 1976, there will be an expansion draft. Each team will keep 15 players, lose one, pull back 2, lose another, pull back one more, and possibly lose one more.

Philadelphia roster as of the end of the 1976 season is below, and will pick in the top 3 pending the lottery results. In all other rounds, it will pick 2nd. In addition, it has traded for a 4th-round pick.
