Auto Rest optimal settings? Topic

Greetings,

Team I just inherited has all of the players' Auto Rest settings at 98. This seems way too high, but I'm new and don't know.

(this seems like the setting for Kris Bryant but not any players with heart!)

What should be the optimal settings for a star, a catcher, and/or an average hitter? And, how does it differ for pitchers?

(I did search the HBD forum for "auto rest" and no results showed...don't mean to be asking questions I should be able to look up without intruding on all of you ;) )

I have all of my players set to 99 auto rest. I used to have it at 90 and found it was costing me wins down the stretch. Now, as soon as my guy needs a day off, he can go back to 100.

best way I can sum it up, you have a guy with 80 ratings across the board for hitting. If you have him at 90% and he is playing those numbers are all now 72. Far less impressive.

I get that, but if it's at 99 is he missing several games?

Depends on his durability rating. If he has over 90, he might not miss many. 70/80 might miss a few. Lower than 60 you might want to think about platooning imo

In general, position players 98, SPs 95, relievers 90.
