Only I could go into the tournament with the 18th best RPI and get an 8 seed and likely have to face the best team with possibly the best coach in D3 in round 2 if I win.

I'm not saying the game is wrong.... it's just I have really bad luck lol

You're a vet and venting, I get it.

But,

• You have 9 losses.
• You were 0-7 against top 25
• You were 2-8 against humans
• You were 18-1 against sims
• You have 6 wins against top 100 RPI teams, 2 are against #97.
• you have 1 win against a team in the tourney: #45 RPI who is an 11 seed.
• The ODAC is the 11th rated conference by RPI.
• The ODAC is either tied for 11th in prestige or last, however you want to look at it.

Strictly by RPI, you'd be a 5 seed right? Throw in 9 losses, 0-7 against ranked teams, and you didn't beat anybody good (you sure tried though) I'd say your seeding is about right.

Please correct me if I'm wrong anywhere.

RPI is an imperfect measure in real life but it's even worse in HD. The homecourt advantage at D3 doesn't nearly account for the extra weight it gives to road victories.

The PR does a VERY good job of seeding. Actually it's pretty surprising to me how well it does. The biggest problem is when people schedule like crap and have terrible SOS but gaudy records. Those teams are most likely to get seeded incorrectly (outside of the teams that are playing Frosh all season so they have tons of losses heading into the tourney and then get underseeded).

I got snubbed in D2 as well.

I shouldn't complain, this is my throw away season having 5 Sophs and 4 Freshmen, so not having many upper classmen, I knew I wouldn't do well, but when I saw my RPI being so good, I was just hoping I could squeeze a little better seed and possibly slide into the Sweet 16. But I seem to always get one of the toughest 2nd round draws, even if I'm the 3 or 4 seed, I get a team that should be seeded higher. It's just that I have no luck when it comes to bracket seeds. So yeah I'm venting. Now that I have, I probably won't make it out of the 1st round lol

You had about the toughest non-conf I have ever seen!

I wish there was a functionality that team improvement was better when you played tougher competition.

Historically, for me, every damn second-round game is tough. They should all be top 32 teams, and you know what they say about any given Sunday.

I like to wait until the end of recruiting to schedule so I know how young/old my team will be. I've messed up scheduling with Bloomfield (too easy; I ended up starting only 1 freshman) and Nebraska (ended up scheduling all tough sims on the road and going 4-6 or something because I started 3 freshmen at the 2-3-4).
