...have we seen anything like this:

Watch the third replay: the play is worse even than it seems at first: the runner on second tripped and fell down rounding third. The Dodgers only had to hang on the ball.

Hilarious. Only could be better if Lasorda is in the dugout...

Now I gotta watch Clark hit the dinger off of Niedenfuer again...

The best Lasorda clip is when Stuttering John from the Stern show nailed him with goofy questions as Tommy was scarfing down a turkey leg while ranting about how great SlimFast was.

Game 4 was a very fun/entertaining game.

I think was has been lost in all the commotion last night is the hit that led to it. Was a game tying hit by a defensive backup against one of the games greatest closers. Truly remarkable!

I've been watching most of this series. Didn't think it would be so enjoyable, but it has been. Game 4 was a hoot.

Last night (Game 5) Dodgers manager Dave Roberts pulled Clayton Kershaw in the 6th after he threw just two pitches, which both resulted in outs. Kershaw's pitch count at that point was only up to 85, and LA led 4-2, but Roberts gave him the hook and brought in that Carrot Top-looking reliever. Dodgers didn't give up any runs the rest of the way, thankfully, so Roberts didn't have to endure a post-game interrogation like he did in the 2018 WS when he pulled Rich Hill and the move backfired:

I have to figure that Roberts is thinking he has to be ready with Kershaw for a game 7. But that he might avoid a game 7 wasn't in the calculation or at least not worth the risk to him.

But taking the game's greatest pitcher over the past decade out, not with one out in the 8th, or two out in the 7th, but two pitches into the 6th? That is putting three whole innings on other pitchers.

The name Grady Little comes to mind, and Pedro was in the 8th inning of that game, and had thrown 123 pitches, but Grady still gets sh... for pulling Pedro. Pulling Kershaw after 85 pitches in the 6th with a chance to go up 3-2 in the series? It worked out, but man, it coulda been a big mess.

Similar deal tonight with the early hook in the 6th and last game, this time with Tampa manager Kevin Cash pulling starter Blake Snell after a mere 73 pitches and one out in the 6th, Rays leading 1-0. Didn't work out as well for Cash...

Good series overall, but sadly a very "2020" finish when Justin Turner got pulled from the game late, having tested positive for Covid. Hope he's alright, and hope no else in the stadium comes down with it, either.

After 30 years the Dodgers finally bought a pennant. They have a lot of talent but my god, just look how far Tampa got with MUCH less. I think 2021 will be crazy even if Covid subsides some....revenues will likely be down (but all will have impacts) and I dont see anyone signing $300m contracts, then you have the CBA discussions coming....

I'm just a sour Cardinals fan on many fronts. Our MOron (John Mozielak) continues to preach the Matt Karpenter deserved a stupid contract. Harrison BaKKKKKer (yes 5 Ks) is a starting MLB OF. Lots of moves needed in STL but once again nothing will be done... Go Randy Aroz.

What a bunch of losers. When we buy a World Series in NY, it never takes us more than 10 years.

They neva shoulda lef' Brooklyn.
