For a while I was running some extra statistical analysis (babip/woba/raa/ fip etc) and found them to be very useful. Not necesarily to identify the studs, those are generally easy to spot. However, they did identify overperformers and underperformers in a given season so I ended up grabing some very good value pickups in FA.
