Looking at the classifieds for open leagues, I see reference to "MWR"...what is this:

League 1: MWR of 55/120/185 over 1, 2, and 3 seasons
or League 2: MWR (200+ loss over 2 seasons & face 70-win probation season plus penalties)

Minimum win requirement.

I think MWR is a contentious subject in HBD. Some owners prefer a World with little to no rules and don't mind if there are franchises that have several consecutive seasons where a franchise loses 100+ games. Other Worlds take their MWR rules very seriously and if you miss it by one game, you will be severely punished. Yet, there are some Worlds that take it on a case by case basis where the Commish decides the discipline or some type of veteran's committee will decide the discipline after any violation of the MWR. My advice would be to ask specifics of what the rules are before joining a private world because not all commissioners will remind you where you stand from an MWR perspective. (i.e. some Worlds have multi-year MWR where a franchise must show stacked improvement over multiple seasons). Some commissioners will just post them in the private world rules section and it is up to each owner to make sure that they don't violate the rules.

You also typically get more latitude on this when you pay to take over a junk team someone left than if you decide to tank it up 20 seasons in because your stars aged.
