I’m on a recruit in Phase 1. Currently he’s only considering my school at Moderate level. I have 8 AP on him and there is 0% scholarship unlocked. 0% everything. Worse than an 8/1 ratio... meaning it would take me over 800 AP to unlock his scholarship. Preferences aren’t a good match, but this is an outlier unlike anything I’ve seen before. Am I trippin?

If you're a D3 school and if the recruit is a D1 kid and if the preferences are truly bad then yes, this can definitely happen.

Wouldn't bother with that recruit. Someone will come along before you get 800 AP on. I found a recruit that isn't even amazing, and I have an A prestige at D2, and it took 262 AP to unlock him. Due to all bad preferences. It's the first time I've dealt with that since I was a new coach. But no one came along so I could spend it. In your case tho, anything +500 is a no way for me

Yeah no way I’m pursuing him. I’m D2 not D3 which is why it seems wild. Over 800 AP?? That podunk snob missed his chance for 4 years of paradise beach life.
