Prestige across divisions Topic

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I didn't find anything based on a quick search. I just took over my first D2 team, and I'm looking at some D1 recruits who currently are only considering a D3 school. That school has A+ prestige, and my school has C prestige. How do those compare in terms of recruiting? I assume that in general D1 schools have more recruiting power than D2 schools, and D2 more than D3. But how do you all think about comparing the prestige levels across divisions? If all other recruit preferences were equal between teams, is A+ at D3 valued higher, lower, or about the same compared to C prestige at D2? Is there a general rule of thumb mapping that you use for this?

You can assume about 2 full grade advantage. The lowest D2 has a prestige advantage over the highest D3, in terms of pure prestige. There is also a small division “bump” modifier. You also have an advantage in recruiting D1 pool recruits in that D3 teams can’t sign those players until the final 24 hours, whereas you’ll be able to start signing them (in the second recruiting session) as soon as you can offer them a scholarship and get to high consideration, meaning you don’t have to *beat* them to take the recruit without a battle, if you can get to high before the last 24 hours.

Only considering D3? Hop on them! Lock em in.

Big difference between D2 vs D3 recruiting, like Shoe is saying, you can sign D1 recruits at D2 as early as the first cycle in RS2. No more waiting around until the final 24 hours.
