What would the impact have been on this boxscore if SF Ambruster was not doubled and all other settings were the same?

I had Ambruster doubleteamed using the “if leading scorer” option which seemed to come into effect in the second half. Feel free to chime in that I ran the wrong tempo or any other comment, however, I’m most interested in what you’d expect to look different with Ambruster not DT’d.

Honestly more of a "Don't if leading scorer a sim team" because their distro is set to 0 across the board so the value of that double team is going to be fairly limited since the leading scorer has the potential to change often.

But the 0 distro thing also kinda diminishes the value of using double team anyway. I only double team against a sim if they have a 90+ PER scorer because it tends to trip them up and force the ball into poorer 3 pt scorer's hands.

I don't use any double-teams against sims. The downside of all 0 distro is it sucks (putting the ball too often in inferiors scorer's hands) but the plus side is it's really hard to double people.

So let's assume you were talking about any opponent and not just a sim opponent......

A double team is supposed to slow an opposing player. Maybe he'll shoot a lower percentage. Or shoot lures attempts. I'm sure there's a side affect somewhat where other player(s) may receive a very minor uptick in shooting percentage due to "more open jumpshot" or maybe even just fatigue created by the double team efforts.

However, in a game of RNG and all the many many factors that go into a game, distro changes, the +/-, the double team or non double team....... I don't think you can "see" specifics very easily, when it comes to doubling or not doubling, and how the box score would play out.

For example, if you play a team twice in one season on neutral floors, say in the CT and NT. And neither of you changed anything, except for one game you doubled a player and one game you didn't. You could end up with totally different results or you could end up with the same exact results. You could double team the player, and he might do BETTER that one particular game. Just based on what RNG gives you.

But in a vacuum, to my knowledge is supposed to help lower the FG% of the player that's doubled. I'm not certain on the effects it has on other players within that game tho

In a vacuum, DT is supposed to lower the FG% of the player that is doubled?... Or, DT is supposed to lower the number of FG the doubled player takes?.... Or, both?

Lower the # of FGA and bring down their offensive efficiency rating. Could lower their FG% - it's never been made clear if DT logic reduces the likelihood of a shot attempt being made. Most vets seem to believe DTs are only programmed to reduce possessions for a player (and thus reduce FGA) and increase TOs (and obviously this is conditional on the quality of the player being doubled and the quality of your defenders).
