Up until you've played 29 games in the current season, waiver wire priority is set from last season's record.

I'm confused with why I wasn't awarded a player that I put a claim in on. My team had the 4th worst record last season, but I team in that had the 17th worst record was rewarded the player.

Does it go in reverse order for the first 29 games?

Maybe you didn't have enough money to sign him?? Or if your 40 man roster was already full and he was out of options?
