Tough to nail down one. It has to be the combination of my tournament performances as a midmajor or lower. Several Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen appearances. Had teams at San Diego State and Southern Mississippi that had talent enough to win National Championships but fell short. Even some of my Penn teams should have gone deeper in the NT.

Just can't seem to break through that barrier. After 10 titles or so I am going to try to win a title in every D1 division.

These type of losses usually occur when I don't game plan. Who the hell does a game plan against 40 point underdog SIMS. Makes me think AI is teaching us a lesson. Oh, you haven't changed your game plan in 4 games? Well I'll show you.

I lost to Dickinson first round as the 1 seed in the 1-16 matchup. I had just won 3 NT’s in a row and won the year after too. Had a legit shot at 5 straight but totally bombed.

I’ll never get over it.

I think mine was the first of your three titles. We played in the championship game and I thought my team had a good chance -- we lost by 20 and you shot 60%

In Phelan I went undefeated throughout the entire season and then lost in the first round of the playoffs to a sim

probably, but recently when losing the 1v64 matchup with UCLA in smith (was co-coaching with chap), it was my first season coaching in over 3 years away and i was kinda into it. so i actually coached! also the sim was a really bad matchup for us and i was legitimately nervous we might lose so made sure to put our best foot forward. it was kind of hilarious because chap had kinda written the team off early and i was like, all gung-ho about how they were a legitimate 1 seed and probably had the best championship odds in the country, i was like constantly in salesman mode trying to win him over. so here we are going into the NT in the top slot and he's finally won over, he's on board and excited for the NT, and its like hmm.... just a heads up but this 16 seed sim might beat us. and they did!
