Pitchers as Pinch Hitters Topic

Just an opinion

I’d like to see a revision where you could list a pitcher as a pinch hitter in the hierarchy. Some of my pitchers are better hitters then the scrubs. Opinions ?

Why?
1. I am in a 1906 Progressive where 6 of my hitters are hitting .210 or lower.
2. It would help in some theme league.

To add onto this, I’d also like to see a revision where they can be added to the defensive replacement hierarchy. Atleast with Pinch hitting, they can come in if you put your other hitters at “Rest”

Combination of:

-Creates lots of loopholes that can be exploited
-Probably a lot of programming effort for little ROI

Not that I wouldn't really like to see it too.

P Roy Oswald played a couple innings of LF (2010) for the Phils. He handled a sharp line drive better then some of our “regular” OF. It was his only fielding chance in 2 innings.

in 75 AB in 2008 he hit better then my 1906 bench!

Also NL and pre DH AL pitchers already have hitting and base running programs, shouldn’t be that hard to program them for the hierarchy?

Not to mention guys like ruth and caruthers who could get more offensive opportunities

My Brooklyn 1906 team has a pitcher who hits higher then 10 of my batters! He needs to be in my PH hierarchy.

Also, I believe Glavine was used as a pinch runner. Can we assign pitchers to pinch hit?

Not currently. You can only select and adjust settings currently available in Advanced Settings and Player Hierarchies.
