I know previously it took 3 NT appearances in D2 to qualify for low-end D1 jobs. However I am wondering how close to those need to be? Consecutive? Or can you have 1 lapse within 4 seasons?

I was just qualified for low end DI jobs after making the PI twice and the NT once in consecutive years. Is that because I spent some time in DIII before I went to DII?

I went straight from DIII to DI but I had many many seasons at DIII and an A+ rating

I wonder if it takes your CT championship last season into account.

Right. I don't think there's any one formula that gets you qualified for DI quickly. I guess a better question might be, if you spend 1 year at DIII and jump to DII, what's the fastest way to get qualified for DI?

I think 3 seasons could be the absolute quickest, and that’s taking into account best case scenario of 1 very successful D3 season followed by 2 very successful D2 seasons. On 2 separate occasions I’ve qualified for D1 after 4 seasons at D3. Both times my last 2 seasons at D3 included a FF and a championship.

This was my D2 Career at KWC. I took the first D1 job available so the 3 NT appearances seems pretty accurate.
