I've seen it before, but it only happened once to a player of mine and it was a scrub minor league player, but it was the same exact situation -- signed him as an injured player during free agency. I sign injured guys all the time in free agency though and this type of thing has only happened once so I bet it must be some type of glitch where the stars perfectly align and a guy gets a double bump as opposed to a consistent strategy that can be used.
