If a Sim-recruited players leaves because of low playing time, do I get the scholarship opening and money to fill the spot?

are you talking promises or upperclassmen? if you are talking about an upperclassmen, then definitely you get the money. even if it is a player you recruited, an upperclassmen, you get the money. just note that upperclassmen almost never leave despite their complaint.

if its a freshman or other 1st year player, well, i don't know. i didn't think sim promised freshman/recruits but i'm not positive.

Thanks, gillispie. Yeah, he's a Junior. I'm just going to ignore him, then.

Yep, you do, bj. And if by chance he doesn't leave on his own you can still cut him with no penalty and get the scholarship & money. The only time you don't get money is if you cut your own player. It's been forever since I've had my own signing transfer so I'm not 100% sure what happens in that situation.

for your own signings, you get 100% resources if there are no promises, but you only get 50% for broken promises.

p.s. does anyone know how to see how many seasons you have or where to buy more? if you don't currently have a team. the way i know is go to the team and look at that page where it says how many seasons and you can click on it. but without a team i can never find how to get there. i'm trying to find the thread i made last time i couldn't find it where someone told me...

I don’t know the answer to your question Gil, but I am wondering which world you’re thinking about...

Are you sure about this, Gil? Last season in Rupp I cut a freshman in RS2 (no promises were made when I recruited him) and didn't get any additional APs, recruiting $, or scouting $.

sorry for the confusion, i am in agreement with what sol_phenom and you are both saying.

i was only trying to address the part he left open ended 'It's been forever since I've had my own signing transfer so I'm not 100% sure what happens in that situation.' - in which case you get 100% resources. assuming transfer means quitting without a promises violation.
