Have any of you seen this before! I've been playing a long time in different worlds and I haven't. I only noticed it when I checked my open recruiting slots for my team in Rupp (Oklahoma) and have 1 less than I thought! I had two consecutive poor recruiting seasons and didn't pay much attention to the walk-ons; until now, one of them is a SIM recruit that was a sophomore who has taken up a scholarship! The roster shows clearly that he was a sim recruit but is not reflecting him as a walk-on! Any idea how this happened? I would like to avoid this in the future!

The game is programmed to limit the number of open scholarships. It will sometimes sign recruits for you. Happens after the last recruiting window following the late session and you don't see the guy until the team updates for the new season. Usually kicks in if you have 4 openings but I've seen it happen with 2. You can cut the guy and get recruiting money for him at the end of the season but he won't leave like a walk on.

like rsvphr said - but you are supposed to have to have at least 4 openings before the sim fills you down to 3. it should never happen with 1-3 openings, as far as i know.

Got it! Thanks gentlemen! Learn something everyday! And tho I can cut him prior to the 2nd recruiting phase (I assume), I sure could use the 20 APs/cash during the 1st phase! Poor recruiting seasons can bite you in so many ways it seems!

You should send a ticket so they can change the signing to SimAi instead of you. That way when you cut him you’ll get the full recruiting resources.

Thanks darnoc! That's the thing that makes this unusual tho, he is reflected as sim recruit with a full scholarship! Check it out on the roster page, he's name is Heriberto Gallo, he's a center for Oklahoma (Rupp)! I would paste a link but apparently WIS doesn't like my clipboard security features.
