Is this a good injury for the medical bug? It is 8 days, and there's no "time of injury" ratings line associated with the injury.

I think if it's a pitcher, the answer is definitely yes. If it is a C, power hitter or up the middle defense, the answer is probably yes because it should improve the arm rating. One thing to take into consideration on the infielder though is how young he is. If he is still developing his other coachable fielding ratings, it may be best to skip the 60 day stay on the DL.

However, if it is a CF type or a speedy type, the answer is likely no.

It's a young AAAA pitcher who's just about done developing, and for whom an extra 2-3 points moves him to the back of the rotation and out of AAA. Hoping it works out.

For a bone spur for that type of player I would keep him on the DL until you see ‘regular season’ and hope for 3-4 points of growth.
