I prefer to run zone, I have ran man, and I never run press. With this in mind:
I almost always go for fairly fresh.
If I am lacking depth in a single position or don’t trust a single position backup, then I’ll switch the starter in that position to getting tired.
If I am lack depth across the board, or have a particularly useful backup that is best used in multiple positions, then I’ll set the talented backup(s) to getting tired. This strikes a nice balance between having fresh starters and utilizing a 6th man to his fullest.
I never touch the other settings except to rest injured players
