SP predicting Topic

In RL you know who's starting tonight, but no further into the future.

If I "scout" my opponent I can get a really good idea of who I'm facing for every game of the series, because it shows SP1 or SP2, etc on their player card.

IMO this should be simply limited to SP, and no further information given.

That's not entirely true. Everyone knows what the rotation is unless there's an extenuating circumstance (injury, rain, etc).
