Again I really like the HOF idea, I wonder what % of owners stay with a progressive for 20 seasons to carry it out? I am in several progressives and enjoy most of my experiences in them, but at my age 20 seasons may never come. I would think you would need a progressive with a lot of owners in their 40’s & 50’s to last that long?

Voting on a Hall Of Fame was part of the original concept for the Franchise With Farm System league, but not successfully implemented yet. I tried pulling the trigger on that too early, maybe 6 years into the league when the case for someone being in the HOF would have been mainly based on real-life stats, with the sim stats barely budging their career totals in most cases. Not many owners were interested in that.

We've had 25 seasons now, so I do want to have a real HOF ballot. I've been catching up on compiling some records like how many times a player won the Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, MVP, or Cy Young award. Seems like I never get as far on that as I want. But I'll probably post a HOF ballot in the league forum next month anyway.

Shameless plug - we need a replacement owner in that league for the Yankees, with potential HOF candidates Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Rickey Henderson on the roster. There's even a "signing bonus" for whoever takes the team.

I ran a HOF for a progressive I commished years ago. Wasn’t great. I proposed some minimum criteria which we cited in. We took nominations after every season and voted on them. I’d do this for NWP-RE if you like...

This thread spurred us to get moving on the long-intended Hall Of Fame for the Franchise With Farm System. [Thanks, contrarian23 and fatguyrd!] The voting has been slow, but 12 of the 17 owners have cast ballots. We have three unanimous choices so far (Eddie Murray, Dave Winfield, and Nolan Ryan). Three more players are ahead of the 75% mark, so on track to get inducted (George Brett, Dale Murphy, and Kirby Puckett). 21 players have received votes, with Ozzie Smith, Robin Yount, Mike Schmidt, and Lee Smith leading the group that is on the outside looking in. They'll return to the ballot next season. The league started with 1977 and has completed 2001, so only players that retired before 1997 are eligible so far.
