OK so today the Phils can bring in a relief pitcher and hit 3 batters in a row before he can be ejected!,,,,

Pitcher was warned after hitting Harper, he and the Cards coward manager should have been ejected after Didi got hit.

Bad judgement by umps could result in a brawl today!

Cards pitcher does not get thrown, out,suspended or anything.

Gives Cabrera a liscense to keep on head hunting and then acting like he was sorry.

Cabrerra and umpiring crew should all be suspended.

Otherwise anything and everything is ok.

Looks like Harper got lucky that 97 mph fastball just grazed his face, could’ve been WAY worse.

I loved that Girardi tried to throw out Cabrera himself. Kept making the ejection motion until the umpire tossed him.

Baseball today isn't worth watching. No accountability for the umps. They have their back protected by the replay system so if they miss a call, no big deal.... challenge it. They don't have to be making calls correctly. I've seen so many outside pitches off the plate called strikes that the only people who get as many calls wrong as they do are the meteorologist trying to predict the weather. They get to keep their jobs too regardless of how often they are wrong. I hate the shift. I hate everyone trying to hit a homerun every time up to bat. I hate the 3 batter rule. I hate the runner on 2nd base in extra innings. I hate 7 inning games when it's a doubleheader. I hate the catcher having to give a lane to the runner coming in from 3rd base. I hate these highly paid atheletes getting off days to rest when they have scheduled days off already. Cal Ripken Jr has to be laughing at these big babies that can't play every day. Starting pitchers can't even go 7 innings anymore much less 8 or 9. Everyone thinks their arms will fall off if they throw over 100 pitches in a game. I'm sure Nolan Ryan, Koufax, Gibson, Palmer and the good ol boys who threw 300 innings or more in a season are laughing at the babies on the mound. As a Twins fan listening to Bert Blyleven talk about todays modern day pitchers he constantly said they will never learn to pitch a full game if you don't let them. As a pitcher you have to want to go the full 9 innings, make it your goal. Today they just want to get paid for the least amount of work, if they're done after 6 innings and only pitch every 5 days then you have a coddled baby to protect for his entire career. In high school they play 7 innings and most all of those guys pitch the entire game. Now we have grown men in the majors who can't make it that far. What a joke.
