Budget 4 draft, should you max out? Topic

Greetings,

Wondering if I should max out both college and high school scouting budgets if I just have an "ordinary" amount of draft picks. Low payroll budget, so plenty of room to max out both...but thinking I'm probably fine with just one. With the new ability to change $5mm per season, it's a $10mm swing to max out one or move it down by the limit. $10mm could be put towards IFAs. Even with the tax, it's still $5mm into the IFA budget. With one draft scouting maxed out, and just one middle-of-the-round pick in each round, I'll still draft the same number of players with a chance for the show. Maybe with both maxed the player might be just a bit better, but drafts are so disappointing that I don't really think so.

Your thoughts on maxing one draft budget and leaving the other at $10mm rather than maxing both?

Thanks!

Pick either the min or max for every budget category IMO (unless you're transitioning from contender to rebuild or vice-versa), middle of the road is throwing money away.

When I'm in rebuild I do $20M/$20M for both HS and Col. I usually get a high impact guy along with a few decent role players into the 3rd/4th rounds (RP's with high ratings but low DUR/STA, platoon DH/1B types, and elite def. SS with noodle bats).
