Recruiting Resources Topic

Anybody know the answer to this weird question:

I'm in my 1st season & have 5 openings for my D3 team in Allen. I'm planning to rescind an additional 4 players' schollies.

Will it affect recruiting resources differently if I rescind all 4 right away vs rescinding as I sign players?

IOW: since it won't give me >140 AP per cycle (or above the scouting $ recruiting $ caps, I think..?) and each guy you sign reduces AP... would it be beneficial to rescind one (up to 6 openings), and then wait until I sign a player (from 6 down to 5 openings) before rescinding another player (back up from 5 to 6 openings)?

I'd rather have walk ons than the 4 sim-signed players, so that doesn't impact whether I rescind or not.

Thanks!

I dont know the answer to this question - but one bit of info - there is a minimum number of players below which the engine will not let you rescind schollies. I am not sure what the number is, but you should find out before pursuing this

I just dont change jobs and rescind much so I dont know

You won’t be able to cut below 6 scholarship players. Once you’ve signed new players, you can cut more players, and get full resources for them (as long as you didn’t sign them). So basically, cut the worst one now to get to 6, then cut another guy for each one you sign as you go, as desired.

You might sometimes find yourself in a situation where you have more than 6 open scholarships, but you’ll never get more than the resources for the 6 scholarships. And when you sign players in that scenario, your remaining resources are adjusted for the new total based on your starting position, it doesn’t go back to 6. So it’s never good to put yourself in a situation where you’ll have more than 6 open if you can help it.

So for example, you might be ok with taking 3 walkons this season, cool. But if you also have 4 graduating seniors, that would put you in a bad position for the following season, with 7 open scholarships.
