Rescinding a scholarship Topic

I made a recruiting error last season and am considering rescinding a scholarship for a player I recruited. I’m trying to weigh the consequences for future recruiting. Does anyone have any experience to share?

The consequences are minimal in my experience. I cut players that I recruited all the time. In D2, I probably cut one of my recruits every other season. It's much better to just cut a bad player than to keep him on the roster for four years.

Thanks, mrslam34.

Where/how do you do this? I don’t see a “rescind scholarship” button.

When Recruiting Session 2 begins, after the season has been completed, if you click the "Manage Roster" under your main Office tab, the rescind scholarship option will be there. But it's not there until roughly the morning of RS2s beginning

same column as “offer scholarship” to a walk-on? there’s nothing there. i rescinded 2 from a previous coach last season but now don’t seem to have the option. HELP!

if its RS2 then you probably need to add a season, i don't believe you can cut players without a season purchased (i think a couple folks cut the whole team on their way out at some point)

If you cut a player that you recruited, you don't get any add'l recruiting dollars. But do you get add'l attention points for the (now) open scholly?
