1) This is purely cosmetic, should be a no-brainer to agree to and implement:
Allow a coach to toggle a message in their inbox back to unread.
Some messages I like to keep around so that I can take action on them at a later time. Being able to toggle such a message back to unread/green would be a visual reminder to do so.
2) This one seems harmless enough:
Allow coaches to see the cost of home and campus visits for recruits outside of the recruiting period, for planning purposes.
We just rolled to the next season in Rupp. I've already done my scouting and figured out my top targets. But recruiting doesn't open up until 6/21, roughly 3 1/2 weeks from now. So I'm not quite sure how I'll be spending my recruiting cash because I don't know how much HVs and CVs will cost.
3) This will likely ruffle feathers and get some or you all worked up:
Find a way to throttle home visits. It's kind of silly that once HVs are unlocked, that a coach can dump all 20 HVs on a recruit all at once (if he has the recruiting money to do so). I see two options (actually, both can be done):
- The number of HVs unlocked is dependent upon the number of APs that have been applied to a recruit. So maybe different levels of AP where you will unlock first 5, next 5, next 5 and then final 5 on a recruit, as an example.
- Limit the number of HVs that can be applied during any one recruiting cycle. Let's say 2 HVs per cycle. So if you want to do a total of 20 HVs, it has to be done over 10 recruiting cycles.
The latter of those two options would prevent a poaching coach from jumping in at the last minute and bombing a recruit who is already leaning towards another school to steal him away at the last minute. This puts an emphasis on more planning and more strategy.
