Trying to determine ML Days Topic

Anyone know of a way to determine how many ML days a prospect has accumulated? I'm trying to do the thing where you limit the ML days to save a season before he goes to arb.

I know what day I called him up last season, but I do not remember when the regular season ended. If I could figure that out, I could do the math.

And for those who are wise: He's not so great it's hurting my team to keep him down. His primary purpose will be to give my CF and SS rest.

Easiest way is to logon on a desktop and scroll over his service time on his player card.

If not, you know he started every day, you can check his starts under fielding stats. Then compare it to the end of the season days to see how many days off there were during those last X number of days of the season. Then add those days off to his days started.

Hmm... good suggestions.

Scrolling over his service time didn't work, but I used my "inspect element" function and found this:

<a title="ML Service Time:0.022">0</a>

I don't know what that translates to, though. 22 days?

I know how to "inspect element" but I'm not a programmer, so I'm not sure what exactly I found.

I'm not sure he started every day, unfortunately.

But he would likely have started every day at AAA when he was there... I may be able to do the math from that (how many AAA games did he miss, add in off days, then add how many ML days there are after the minors regular season ends). Thanks for the suggestion!

that service time number seems in line with what you see on a desktop computer 0.022 would mean 22 days. In other words, if he was in the minors and you wanted to get an extra year of service out of him, you would call him up on the 43rd day of the minor league season instead of the 20th day.
