Hey guys, hope all you in the USA have enjoyed the holiday weekend. I've seen a couple threads here wondering about how long it takes to promote from D3 to D1. It didn't take me as long as I expected, especially since my one D2 season was only a sort of good campaign. I hope someone finds my story helpful.

After season 126, every single D1 job said "Not Qualified."

But I figured what the hell, and I applied for four D- prestige jobs in the last hiring cycle fully expecting four rejections.

Insetad, Coastal Carolina hired me. I was surprised but I'm excited to get started at my new school.

Honestly no problem with an any human is better than a sim policy for D- D1 jobs

I'm actually really surprised that you got a D1 job after only 2 seasons and no NT wins. With that said, I agree that any human is better than a sim in low D1. In fact, I wouldn't be opposed to new players being allowed to start at a D- D1 job if they wanted to skip D3 and D2. Humans with a lot of experience in other worlds should be able to start at a D+ or lower D1 job.

who was saying the 'qualified' vs 'not qualified' stuff was 100% accurate now? it was definitely a regular - not really important who - but it is not the first time someone has mentioned getting a not qualified job, since things were supposedly fixed (its not entirely clear when they made subsequent changes though).

so i think its worth other folks who are 'not qualified' to apply because who knows, you might get it

Don't remember who it was, but it was in a reply to my post wondering why my E8 run at Barry (D2) didn't qualify me for any (and I got 4 rejections applying for not qualified jobs - although it might've been different if I had waited until the last cycle...?).
