why ask me for a scholly and minutes??? Topic

i'm a DII coach. I was recruiting a player that a DI program was recruiting. Player had moderate interest in both schools. Then DI offered and he was very high on DI and very low on me - i had not yet unlocked scholarship to offer.

However, then the recruit asks me to offer and guarantee minutes/start etc. I assume this is silliness because why would he choose me over a DI he is high on that has offered? Why is the SIM even programmed to do that.....window dressing? Or is there a possibility that a DII team could prevail in this instance?

Thanks

I think those emails are just to let you know that you've unlocked the ability to offer them, not that the player has any particular interest in them.
