These two players. I was thinking Moreno would be a good leadoff with York in my second spot. Is there any reason you can see why the optimizer prefers to bat Moreno second? I am trying to understand the why....

Moreno's OBP in over 600 ABs is .268....that isn't very good. His batting average is going to be pretty low and he isn't going to walk. I'm actually surprised the optimizer has him batting anywhere towers the top of the line up. He has some speed but that's about it. You can't steal first.

Agree with bigbucks. Moreno should be hitting 9th, not first or second, and if he didn't have a good CF glove you wouldn't play him at all.
