The last part was the most important. He'll avoid injuries but he won't play to his ratings when he is gassed.
99 health does not mean he will avoid injuries. I learned this from MikeT and WIS support a few years ago. The health rating does help to avoid the nagging 1-7 day injuries, but has no bearing on the big long term DL injuries. So, yeah, I would platoon him at C and have him available for pinch hitting. If you want to be aggressive, let his fatigue get down to about 85 or 90, but I wouldn't go lower than that.
