From the ancient Knowledge Base. Was curious if there's a more recent different scenario I've not stumbled upon, as our playoff qualifiers seem out of whack with the Help article which is also quoted verbatim in the pinned section :
| Q. |
What happens if teams tie for the division title or wildcard? |
| |
A. |
In the case of a two-way tie at the end of the regular season in which a playoff appearance is at stake, a 1 game playoff will be scheduled between the two teams. This is only in a situation where only one of the two teams will make it into the playoffs.

This is a theme with no special playoff rules and does not involve my team. There are 2 ties both where 1 is in and the other is out where I'd assume a 1-game play-in for both since it's clear from the text nobody goes home if a playoff spot is on the line; perhaps only a matter of seeding :
In the NL, a tie for a division with room for only 1 team as the WC has been established with a better record.
In the AL, a tie for the WC with room for only 1 team.
The NL division tiebreaker has been scheduled.
The AL WC tie has not.
The NL divisional tiebreaker is in a couple hours. As such, remaining playoff bracket has not been set. Unclear at this time who is deemed worthy of the AL WC and a ticket has been sent, unless I'm missing something.
