Demotion with cleared ww and no options Topic

I can't recall running into this situation yet (at least not with a player I cared about keeping around) so I want to run it by here first before I do anything.

If a player is out of options, but cleared revocable waivers, can I demote them to the minors without worrying about anything? They're pre-arb if that makes any difference.

I think you're clear, unless the player has over three(?) yrs major league service in which case they can elect free agency. But the system alerts you of that.

Yeah, can confirm everything went fine. No sys alert so I pulled the trigger. No ratings bump though so it was all for naught, lol
