Is there a work ethic boost for meeting a promise? Or if you start a player every game will the work ethic growth be the same regardless of whether you promised them to start or not?

Pretty sure it's the same if you are meeting the promises 100%. If you're on the border of meeting the promise then you might only gain say 1 or 2 WE points but if you hadnt promised then he may have gained 3 or 4 - for example.
