i don't know about you guys, but i also run a fantasy basketball team, and i really love how every week my lineup is decimated by COVID. it just adds that realism, you know? with COVID here to stay, it feels like HD needs a realism update? 3 suggestions:
- before every game, a COVID RNG could be ran to decide which players will be out for health and safety reasons. coaches will only be notified of these outcomes after games have simulated, to ensure no game planning compensation can occur.
- 15% of the HD players should be configured to refuse the vaccine. coaches will have options:
1) bench the player for the season. every game, there will be a 2% chance the player changes their mind and gets the vaccine, but for every game the player sits, they will lose 1 stamina. also, your decision will upset 20% of fans, dropping you 1 grade of HCA.
2) kick the player off the team. when this happens, there is a 10% chance for each other player to quit in protest/solidarity. also, your decision will upset 20% of fans, dropping you a grade of HCA.
3) cover it up - help the player get a vaccine card, and then they can play on the roster as normal. however, for each game going forward, there's a 3% chance of getting caught, at which point the player loses all remaining NCAA eligibility and is removed from the game. boosters will appreciate your efforts, so you get an extra 1K next recruiting session. also, 20% of fans will be upset, so your HCA will drop a full letter grade.
- finally, each week there will be a 1% chance you contract covid and die, which will end your HD eligibility on that ID.
firings? bah. this is the enhancement we need!
