Honestly a very difficult question. I have gone back and forth

My son just asked me this question last night. We went back and forth on which one was right. We decided there is a sh*t ton of both in the world.

lol I had no idea what cubcub was talking about, and then JR said his son asked him this question last night. So I figured this question has to be a thing right now, and Googled it. I'm glad I have the WIS community here to keep me updated on world events.

Wheels or tires?

If it's wheels then I'd say doors. If it's tires then I say tires.

I would say tires would count as wheels. As would casters which I think would be enough to put wheels ahead. Just think the numbers of wheels in an office with 5 per chair

Ah interesting that you included that, I didn't consider it. So would the wheels on a hot wheels or matchbox car also be included?

I was thinking wheels and tires strictly for a road worthy vehicle. For example I have a car and 3 motorcycles. I have extra sets of tires for my car and two of my bikes. And I go through tires on my bikes somewhat frequently but I just replace the tire, not the entire wheel assembly which I think is pretty common. So the # of tires easily exceeds the # of wheels - using road vehicles only.

So to grab the definition of wheel, 'a circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground.' The tire themselves wouldn't count but the wheel assembly wouldn't. But from the definition I would have to assume casters and hot wheels wheels would count as well. As would the tiny doors on them assuming they actually work.

Ah okay. I guess I'm slow. Using that general definition then there are DEFINITELY more wheels than doors

Do vehicle doors count here? If so, that offsets A LOT of wheels.

Cabinet doors? Refrigerator doors? If we're just thinking "normal" doors, like the type someone can walk through, there's still a boatload in office buildings and the like.

I think I'm still on team wheels here, but if it's more than walk through doors, hmmmm.
