I'm building a team with restricted roster opportunities and was wondering about success (or lack of) with his better seasons (50, 53-55). You would think with almost 2000 teams, I might have used one. To be honest, I've never really liked any of them for the salaries.

The cap is 140M, but the pitching is going to be a little weak for that...especially the bullpen. However, I've got plenty of cap room left for any of them.

If anyone has used any of those seasons please list the cap and overall performance please. Pretty sure I'm not going to use him, but looking to see if any of you had success. Thanks!

Can't recall ever using him, but I'm in a single season prog (1959 season just ended) where another owner has him. Here are Snider's stats there (working backwards from 1959):



Decent seasons, but considering the league plays like an 80M theme I'd say not really worth the salary.

I'e only used 61, 2-3 times. Meh.

For what it's worth, I would go 54-53-55--------50.

Thanks grizz...decided against using him. Just too much money for what you get. If he had a higher range (2.7+), I might have given more consideration. Went with a cheaper outfielder to add a better SP.

the good but not great fielding combined with 700 PA makes him overpriced

Even not knowing the situation, that still sounds like the right move.

That for sure. But that era is bad with normalization.

Don't say anything too harsh about Casper's favorite player, or you'll be haunted.

You're welcome to say what you want, but his salaries and stats just don't match up IMO.
