I like the idea but it'd be super easy to take over a sim team right before the tourney and potentially get easy credits. Ab would have a field day tho!

Just a watch out but I'm on board for any changes that help new coaches.

you’d still have to pay full $ though. so it’s unlikely anyone would profit

More profitable than some of my teams these days

IMO coaches who make reservations should definitely be allowed to do RS2. i'm not sure if that is much effort but i really would like to see that. i think it would be great if they could do RS1 too, if they reserved early enough! i guess i don't see much reason to keep someone signing up away from the team, if they are willing to pay a full season to coach a partial one, even the day before the NT to grab a NT-bound sim... except that it would be really annoying (perhaps) to the coach who is about to play them. so maybe they sort of freeze you out from the end of the reg season or something.

but at least give RS2? if its not too much work?

As a recent coach, I was disappointed my first action was not recruiting. I would have loved to AT LEAST be getting updates on my team and see the players strengths and weaknesses in ratings. I was signed up really early (I wanted a 1 a day world and this was the next one and it was the next one starting- seems like I was signed up two or three weeks before it started). It was frustrating to pay up and then do nothing for weeks.

If there is a way we can get new coaches recruiting faster, I'm all for it. Recruiting is what drew me in and recruiting is what keeps me here, my favorite part of the game by far. I'm so much more attached to the guys I recruited compared to the ones I just took over.

Yep totally agree with John and tmac. These were the same arguments that most of us made prior to the 3.0 release but seble wouldn't budge. He believed that it was too difficult for new people to immediately start recruiting before they knew how to play.
