Is there a Discord server for Sim League Baseball, or Wis as a whole?

If not is there any interest for such a thing?

I was thinking about making one but didn't want to build it if one already exists or no one would care.

It's a modern day party line/chat room

Would be pretty cool if admin created a discord server. Would make it easy to run progressive drafts, could even advertise for leagues. Could also see it turning into a **** show if not run and set up properly.

We at least need beefed-up forums and profiles.

They are very cool, and very dangerous. An individual setting one up here probably won't fly. I can ask Jordan to weigh in here...

I mean, anyone could start one and call it “discord for SLB users” or whatever. It just wouldn’t be able to claim official WIS partnership without admin setup.

Honestly, it’d make running drafts/progressives so much easier too as I’m pretty sure you can create different scripts/bots to answer questions or post different things

Yeah I was just going to create one to make it easier for people to chat, build leagues, do drafts, etc. Wasn't going to claim any WIS partnership or anything "official", just something for the community to use.

Hello Brian,

We don't maintain or facilitate these third party "groups". Hoops Dynasty has their own discord, GD has a slack channel. WIS doesn't monitor these and cannot facilitate or moderate these platforms. If users want to create a group such as this, then that is up to them.
