i haven't seen the video but pretty sure what he means.

what you are doing is, you are looking at how many AP you've done so far, and how much you've unlocked. suppose you put in 15 AP and you were 25% of the way done unlocking a scholarship - a quarter of the way there - then you'd naturally assume you need 60 AP to unlock that scholarship (15*4). the direct math there is 15 AP / .25 = 60 AP. dividing by .25 (one fourth) is the same as multiplying by 4.

the issue with this is rounding. when it says you are 25% unlocked, that means you are really between 24.5% unlocked, and 25.49999% unlocked. because of this, if you did 60 AP above, that might not be enough. half the time it will be, half the time it won't, more or less (about half the time it will be rounded up to 25, in which case you are in trouble, and about half the time it will be rounded down to 25, in which case you are fine).

to be 100% positive you are going to unlock a player, folks like cub and i assume the worst case. if it says 25%, that means 24.5%. the math there is 15/.245 which is 61.22 ap. 61 ap may not even be enough, but 62 DEFINITELY is. so in this case, we go for 62 total AP, which is 37 additional.
