Points still applied to a guy signed?? Topic

Not sure on that question as recruiting is over for this world is over so I am unable to recheck this…

Yea I don’t think CS should just take the weekend off personally. I understand it’s a job. But I believe there’s more than 1 employee now? If so, I feel like someone should AT LEAST check in on the game daily. Lots of people invest money in this. And it really wouldn’t take that long to check for issues that may have popped up. I’m ok with CS not addressing something on a weekend if it’s just a question. But the mechanics of the game screwing up, can’t be that hard to pop in and check once a day.

Kev and Derek -- Out of curiosity, were these players that signed on the same cycle that you put your first effort in on them? I'm wondering if it has to do with points not getting registered to the player (since they signed), but also not being return to the teams.
ahh, that is an interesting take.

even if the OPs can't go back and check because recruiting is over - those of us who are done recruiting and have a RS2 running can probably test it by taking our remaining 40 or whatever AP, and throwing them on a random 5* who isn't signed yet, who will sign somewhere eventually. now maybe those guys sign right away, and we have the answer, but if not, just move those 40 or whatever AP to some other guy who might sign next cycle and eventually we'll catch it? i suppose if someone puts 1 each on 20 guys or something, they'll most likely get the answer that very next cycle?

i don't have anything but tark so i wouldn't be able to do this for a month, but i'm sure other worlds are coming up much sooner than that.

Also frustrating it's a bug they know about and apparently have done nothing to fix.
Hopefully it's something that's resolved with the base code overhaul. Or at least something that can be easily fixed once that monster of an update is complete.

Maybe its the incorrect nomenclature, but the update of the code that runs WIS to a modern language.

i feel like we talked about this once before, but im struggling to remember the details. i didn't think the thing they were doing was really very related to HD, though. more like, common stuff that relates to the running of nightly games (the launching of them, not the sim engine), the website displays, etc.

i didn't think they were touching the HD sim engine or the other parts of the HD game (recruiting, depth chart interface, etc), in terms of the rewrite. but i also have no recollection of what was the basis for the prior conversation. there a link to what they are doing or something?

Not involved ... but what a poor response by WIS. Definitely those affected should gets credits.

And the weekend shouldn't be a factor at all. The game is played 7 days a week and CS should absolutely be doing the same. Always thought they were.

This problem should have been corrected immediately!

I believe it was the first cycle i recruited them. So they signed the same cycle that my first AP points would go towards them.

The biggest bummer is that all my remaining AP points were locked on that one recruit... and now i have two EE (one was 50-50 and the other was likely staying). So after having all my AP points locked on a signed player for 10 or 11 cycles, I'm kind of SOL to start the second recruiting cycle as I couldnt prepare for that chance of EE lol.

Oh well. Its how the cookie crumbles. But I agree, even like a $3 credit would convey empathy.

$3 ain’t enough! If that happened to the wrong coach, they’d lose a customer entirely. I’d offer a free season, minimum

Agreed, shows a lack of care of your own game if you are willing to let your user's entire recruiting experience be ruined just because its the weekend imo. CS was answering support tickets on the weekend back in 2010 for sure.
