Hi,

From what I gather, a player with a numerically higher temper rating has a hot head. I know it means that they get tossed out of games more easily, but what else? Does "temper" reflect composure in the face of on the field events, while "patience" is composure relative to off field happenings? Will a pitcher with a hot head be more apt to let his emotions get to him and completely fall apart if he gives up a couple of base hits? Do more stable players come through better in clutch or tense situations? Would this rating be more significant for a closer who will often be expected to come in late during a tight game?

I appreciate any insight shared, thanks!

Sadly I think Temper just results in how likely a guy is to get tossed from a game...... .and I think how likely he is to get hit by a pitch which is odd. Its a shame, adding temper to a lot of these abilities like you talked about would be cool but I don't think it was ever programed in.

Only affects:
getting ejected (higher rating = more likely),
and getting HBP (lower rating = more likely).

I had a SP with very good marks with one exception; he had a high temper. He would be doing well, then when something would start to go bad, he would completely unravel. I avoid high temp players now. That was my only experience so sample size is, of course, a problem, but burn me once....
