injuries-playing time-stamina Topic

Something just dawned on me as I prepare for my new season. I promised a couple of really talented recruits 20 minutes which I'm happy to provide based on their ratings.

However, I just realized that they are both 60 in terms of stamina. How correlated is the stamina to risk of injury and is there a loose rule of thumb to determine safe amount of playing time based on stamina?

From my experience, serious injuries (the kind where you miss games) are so rare that it would be very difficult to gather the kind of info required to make an assumption. It makes sense that tired players would be more likely to injure, but I wouldn't ever worry about it.

The only attribute that affects injury at all, that I'm aware of, is durability, and that's after the injury has occurred, where durability affects how quickly the player recovers. The instance of injury in the first place, and its severity, is completely random, as far as I know.

As I was thinking about this some more I was a little unsure, so I looked back in some old dev chats. Back 15 years ago, admin did indicate that durability did have a relationship with the severity of the injury, suggesting that high durability reduced the likelihood of severe injury from the outset. I don't know if this has held up through the updates. I have had high durability players get some rather bad injuries, though I suppose it could always be worse, and of course my experience is just anecdotal and a tiny sample.

But in those chats they also affirm the main point here, injury occurrence in general is random.
